We recorded Shachar from quarantine, May 2020. The 11th century poem from Ibn Gabirol is a dawn prayer. I wrote the melody when sheltering in place began, the night we learned Zivar is pregnant with our second child. The images and movement (of the video) were inspired by a new piece Coco and I were readying for a spring workshop, based on Attar's Conference of the Birds.
